Super 8 by Wyndham Portsmouth - Norfolk

Not only is it a dump, it's a ripoff dump. Upon attempting to check in, they took my credit card and charged $56 - $50 for damage deposit and $6 as a "resort fee". Resort fee - for this piece of crap? What a joke!||As it turned out, they had no habitable rooms available so the reservation was cancelled immediately. Two days later they returned the $50 but kept the “resort fee”. On contacting the property I was told that I would not be getting a return of the $6 “resort fee” as, according to their records (obviously bogus) I had stayed there for two nights! Upon being asked his name, my contact claimed to be OK Ravi - a name I find unlikely to be accurate. As a bit of detail, the reservation was made through Hotwire and Hotwire did return my payment to them.||So, stay here if you wan

Everything here has changed. The rooms have remodeled and new flooring, new furniture, nicer staff and the front desk and manager has been wonderful even when I over sleep! Thank you for being kind and considerate and to the property owner, You just keep your head up and keep making them boss 💪 moves and I'll continue to be impressed 👍 keep up the good work y'all!

The room had stained sheets hand prints on the headboard a door that had been kicked in numerous times amd a missing back up latch. The staff who reside on the property were very un informed on return policy a.d ultimately after checking numerous rooms, I was forced to drive 2 hours and 30 minutes back home, without a return on the room. The area is full of prostitution and the hotel staff is fully aware. Not for visitors at anytime. Choose another hotel

Doesn’t look anything like the pictures. Disgusting. Don’t even think about it unless you are homeless and it’s below freezing outside. Any park bench is cleaner and likely safer.

They never answered phone. Tried for 15 minutes. Room had no towels, no soap, no TV remote. Front desk man was helpful. Plumbing very poor condition. Tub faucet never stopped running. Towels thin and thread baren, sheets wrinkled and very old. Floors and walls very clean. The 2 rooms we checked would not pass any inspection.
