Sunset Inn

I stay all over the place. I always go with something super inexpensive, and I am rarely surprised. The staff at this hotel were the friendliest and most helpful people I have run into in a while. Southern hospitality at its finest. The rooms are great for the price, it was clean the TV worked and the water was hot. A+ in my book. Again thank you to the staff, it made my few days.

Housekeeping broke the television and then tried to say that I broke it. I don't watch television I have my own computer monitor the refresh rate on a old television is not going to cut it for me. Instead of communicating the issue with me (are we staying there for 4 months straight not a peep from me) I was woken up at 8am and told if I didn't cough up $300 that they would be calling the police and sending me to jail. I asked why my security deposit wouldn't cover it and I even offered to buy my brand new TV which was my mistake. They said that they wanted this particular model of TV that was out of production for over 10 years in that it would cost at least $300 to replace. I call the police non-emergency line to explain the situation and consulted a pro bono lawyer to see if I had brok

Positive: The front desk clerk is very kind and one of the housekeepers was also very kind Negative: There was food with a bad smell was left in the microwave from a previous customer. The bed linens and curtains are really outdated and dusty. The other bed was stained with something that looked like a footprint.

Just moved out here from AZ stayed here temporarily and I am just in shock that the Staff have an attitude and rude very judgmental , room smell like mildew , roaches in the bathroom area . Spiders in the corners . When you move the furniture you find stuff from the previous people or wasn’t clean . Bugs in the mattress etc . When you report problems they are not accommodating they make the customer leave no refunds they also look for any reason to keep the deposit. The environment is not safe for people with children they allow all kinds of walk of life there to do whatever illegal activity . I wouldn’t suggest this place for anyone regardless how good the price is . Had too leave immediately.
