Courtyard by Marriott Jacksonville

While staying at the courtyard by Marriott Jackson. On February 6th when we arrived everything seems normal. We checked in around 8pm, went to our rooms and went to sleep. Around 3am the people above us were jumping up and down until 6am. We called the front desk & had our rooms switched. When we enter the room it look like housekeeping just left. Beds made. Floor clean. Me and my wife had two queen beds. She slept with my 1 year old & I slept with my 7 year old. When I woke up to adjust my son body because he was all under me I notice a couple of spots. I shined the light on the spots, what do you know BLOOD!!! How can well known company handle their guest like this. This is absolutely unacceptable!!!! I will be getting a refund and never EVER come back here again.

Positive: location, staff was very friendly, and helpful. Negative: we did not get any cleaning service, we were told it would be cleaned on Friday, by the front desk staff, and it did not happen. also 2 large cockroaches in the room, had to buy bug spray.

Our family recently stayed at the Courtyard Marriott in Jacksonville, North Carolina while in town for the funeral of my uncle. With a group of about 20 people and emotions already running high, the comfort, space, and kindness we experienced here truly mattered—and this hotel exceeded expectations. The hotel itself was very clean, and the lobby was spacious and welcoming. It gave our entire family a place to gather, fellowship, play games, and even do a little karaoke together, which turned out to be incredibly healing during such a difficult visit. I will say that this room was 500% better than the one that we had the previous night at a motel, and, at $200 for this room, it was actually less money!|The amenities in the lobby were actually very good, and we enjoyed being able to still get some coffee late in the evening. Our room definitely showed signs of poor maintenance and up-keep, as there was peeling wall-paper, broken fixtures, missing light bulbs, and some nastiness where the cleaning staff just can't seem to get the mop and vacuum. Other than those things, the beds were nice, the shower was hot, the room was generally clean enough, and we had to be on the road early the next morning, however, we did stop at the breakfast that was offered, and it was very good. Stayed here last night (12/10) and had a wonderful experience! Easily the nicest place to stay in Jacksonville. The bartender (Jill) was super friendly as were the staff. Rooms were very nice and clean. Will 100% stay here again. Highly recommended!
