Sunset Hotel

I booked this place on Booking.com but the room I was shown was not the room from the photos. I don't think it was even the same hotel (maybe their best room 15 years ago). This place is a complete dump. It's like somewhere you see in a movie when the character has no money and has to find somewhere to live, and ends up in a squalid, run down, grotty hotel. When I arrived the guy barely got off his phone at first, and then said he would show me the room before taking payment, as payments are final. I knew at this point I'd made a massive error booking here. I told him I'd cancel and find somewhere else. Thank god I hadn't paid in advance. AVOID this hell hole.

They don't even deserve one star the place needs to be shut down...The main dude was super rude and trying to charge me ridiculous amount of money and he was harassing me. But the night guy with the glasses was cool. And the tv is Broken and there is no pillows, and no blankets and it looked like the room has never been cleaned until I had to and he charged me $80 for one of the nights I didn't book it online. So when I finally started booking it so it wouldn't cost me so much he got mad and said I had to check out that morning. I would never recommend the place they don't deserve even a star they should be shut down.

5 Stars – Affordable Shelter When I Needed It Most 🏨🛏️🚘 Sunset Hotel gave me something I really needed—a roof and a real shower I could afford. The area isn’t perfect, but you’re downtown, and that made it the perfect spot when I was out driving for Lyft and DoorDash. On the days I could afford not to sleep in my car, this place was home. Thank you for keeping the price low and the water hot. That meant more than you know. #GratefulHeart #BudgetBlessing

This hotels downfall is crazy. They must have switched owners.. it used to be a decent cheap place 4-5 years ago. Ironically I stayed there when the reviews were good about 4 yrs ago and had money stolen from my luggage by the staff.. thought it was weird bc they had good reviews but now coming back I see maybe it wasn’t so random. Shady place

Please don't visit this hotel - the management doesn't speak English, so it's very hard to communicate with them. The restrooms are filthy and they don't clean! We made our reservations online and the managers advised that they will not honor online reservations. The manager insisted we pay in cash - today, the managers came up with sticks demanding we leave. Very unprofessional and rude - it's hard to try and communicate since the managers don't speak English. I was getting dressed and the manager opened our door while I had my pants down! Worse motel - ever!
