Stonebrook Lodge Bryson City

Today, March 9th, 2026, we finally reached Assistant manager Allison regarding a refund on one our our night's at The Stonybrook Lodge. We understand that we booked the two night stay and Railroad ride. Unfortunately, we had an emergency. I tried several times to explain our situation with Assistant manager Allison. Allison was on repeat about the non-refundable on one if our nights. She questioned me, "was our reason for leaving an emergency", or the issues that I tried to explain. Allison didn't come right out and call us liars, but she brought up more than once. I tried to explain other issues at Stonybrook lodge during our first night. We arrived Saturday, January 17 and the parking lot was close to full, as there was a running event in town. First time I tried to make a reservation I was told they had none available . I had purchased train tickets and all the hotels were sold out. We had stayed at Stonebrook Lodge in March and loved it. I made one more call and explained to the manager that I had train ticket and really needed two rooms. He booked us for January 17 and 18. We normally stay at Hilton Hotels when possible, so I am going to give Stone brook Lodge 4 out of 5| because|1. Front desk all smiles and very helpful with restaurant names and directions|2. Positive: Location. Negative: The internet didn't work, therefore we had no TV. The staff member I spoke with said that he would make a note of the situation, but had no resolution. The room had one window that faced into a cliffside on the back of hotel.

Terrible Experience – Unprofessional Business Practices I travel a lot and this tops the worst experience I have ever had with lodging. I regret I am unable to give Stonebrook Lodge zero stars due to their extremely unprofessional behavior related to our stay. My husband and I decided to schedule a Valentine weekend getaway that included a stay with Stonebrook in Bryson City, NC. We rented the jacuzzi King suite and upon arrival, I immediately noticed the jacuzzi jets were filthy. (photos attached) In the jets, you could see black mold and mildew. It was disgusting. Since we arrived so late, I notified the attendant on duty (Eloisa) the next morning and while she apologized and stated she would have this taken care of, it was a poor attempt to clean it, and it was still dirty.

We had an absolutely amazing stay during the Tsali Ultra! Lindsey and the entire staff were truly outstanding and went above and beyond to take care of our group and all of the runners. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed and supported. They were incredibly accommodating to the unique needs of a race weekend and made everything feel seamless. The extra touches really stood out — welcoming signs for runners, balloons, and a genuine excitement that made our athletes feel appreciated and at home. You can tell this is a team that truly cares about their guests. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay during such an important event, and we’re incredibly grateful for the hospitality. We look forward to staying here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.
