Staybridge Suites Rochester University by IHG

I don't typically write reviews but I owe tremendous gratitude to the Rochester Staybridge. My parents were coming to visit me from out of town and due to a knee surgery they were not able to stay at my house to get up the stairs so we booked here. First off, the room was extremely spacious, clean and comfortable. They arrived in the evening and were greeted with exceptional service and enjoyed a baked potato meal. The staff in the kitchen and bar were very social and made it feel like home. I wanted to leave my own home and stay! The largest highlight was when my mom was looking for decaf tea and the hotel didn't have any, Ben (a staff member) went to Wegmans on his own and got her a box of assorted decaf tea and left it in the room. We had a pretty good stay here. The check in is at 4 pm which is a little later than the other hotels. This was made up by a late checkout at noon. Breakfast selection was great and the service staff keeps checking on everyone's need. Room facility was pretty new. Linen was prestine clean. The design came with all practical functions. Great for families and anyone visiting downtown Rochester.

This hotel was one of the best we’ve stayed at! Our suite was newly renovated and very clean and modern. When we checked in Jesus made us feel right at home. The location was very convenient as well, minutes from RIT & Blue Cross Arena. The best part of our stay was Chef Mike! He made a point to greet all the guests and make sure breakfast was just perfect. He was very polite and personable, talking with him set the tone to have a fantastic day. The food was WONDERFUL too! You can tell when someone truly loves what they do. Keep up the great work Chef Mike!

This review comes a couple months late after our stay but better late than never. Our flight was delayed and my uncle was having his birthday party at the hotels banquet hall. I was late to the party and very flustered and Jesus S. at the front desk really went above and beyond to quickly get my family checked in and was so accommodating to some last minute request that I had. He really made our experience 10/10!!! The room was clean and spacious and very close to the airport.

Absolutely wonderful stay! All of the staff were knowledgeable, friendly, and outgoing. Our room was perfectly clean and all the amenities well supplied. Special thanks to Jesus and Tom who I dealt with the most and were especially friendly and kind. This is a gem. everyone should stay here! PS a shout out to whoever did the Christmas decor. It was warm and welcoming and very festive.
