Customer Reviews
These hosts were not only knowledgeable of the area They cared that we had an amazing stay Full of information as we asked questions about many different subjects They went above and beyond assisting with a few minor issues we endured Thoughtful generous and super friendly The kind of people I wished I lived near to call them a family FRIEND Go and enjoy I think you will agree. We will be back Thx
A lot of good things to say about this KOA. We stayed two weeks. Very clean sites; laundry room clean with 8 washers. Staff very anxious to please. `Staff will deliver ice and firewood to your site. Great campground for kids. Although there is no pool there is a small miniature golf, a large bounce pad that the kids loved; a small fenced pet area. There are quite a few cabins tucked in the trees. Fire rings and picnic tables at each site. Close to the Mackinaw Bridge. Free transportation to the Mackinaw Ferry provided. Had a great visit.
The campground is "okay" at best. The WiFi is horrible, but that is fine since you are camping and the purpose of it is to get out of the modernized world. The campers, however; make it for a miserable experience. I am not sure if it is because of the time in the year that we went, but most of the campers are obnoxious, selfish, disrespectful, loud and act like they are the only ones here camping. "Quiet time" is at 11:00 pm at this campground where every other campsite I have been to it is 10:00 pm. Also, what is it with all the campers who have IT'S with bathrooms yet they still use the campgrounds bathrooms? Overall, I give the campground a 4, but the experience a 2.
Stayed 4 nights. Good water pressure at our site. Clean restrooms however I didn't use showers. Allows late arrival.
The campground is very big. It has a lot of caper sites and 2 bathrooms located on either end of the park. Putt putt, small game room area and a food truck! We had a basic cabin and it was nice. Not like the new ones they just built , which were much nicer. The workers were friendly. The only issue is there wasn't enough drainage around some of the cabin. Large Water puddles around them and I feel like there should be outside power outlets. Easy access to freeways and 5 min from downtown St Ignace. Overall it was a good choice.
