Sprucewood Inn

DON'T waste your money. So far this has been the worst hotel I've ever stayed at. Booked through Expedia, got to the hotel and had to pay a $100 deposit that was NEVER mentioned on Expedia or google. The property had a creepy feeling. Hair was all over in the bathroom including the tub, no hand soap or trash can. Toilet paper crammed into the bathroom wall holes, hairdryer was melted, tissue box and coffee pot were disgusting. Ceiling paint was chipping, Outlets didn't work and neither did the lights by the beds, then I found what looked like a bedbug in the bathroom. We told the front desk guy and he said he will tell Housekeeping. While we were getting our stuff to leave, I contacted Expedia to let them know the conditions and to get a refund, Expedia contacted the hotel and by the tim

It's a dump. Thick mold in the coffee pot, open light sockets without bulbs, smoke detector absent-just wires hanging from where it should have been. I left and went to another hotel. Since it was prepaid online, I lost my money. I don't care though. Just don't want anyone else going there.

Very nice desk clerk, but she promised to fix the following problems and didn't (over 2 days!): phone, TV, and fridge did not work (food spoiled!). No shampoo or body wash in shower; I had to refill them myself. Tub did not drain. Brown stains on wall by toilet.

Positive: It was close to my destination. Negative: The room was filthy with a horrible musty smell. There were dead cockroaches on the floor. The soap and shampoo dispensers were empty. I will never stay here again!

Booked online. Front desk was very nice. The room was not. Our non-smoking room smelled like an ash tray. Mattress had a valley and definitely needed replacing. Front desk was very understanding and offered to switch our room. We decided not to stay. We were kindly not charged for the room and stayed elsewhere.
