Quality Inn Elyria

I recently stayed for a full week at the Quality Inn Elyria, and I can say without hesitation that it exceeded my expectations. This is an older property that has clearly been remodeled and well-maintained. Everything appeared to be in very good condition. My room was exceptionally clean, orderly, and well-kept throughout my stay, which, in my experience, is not always the case even at higher-priced hotels. I travel extensively, both across the United States and internationally, so I have seen the full spectrum — from outstanding properties to those that fall well short. While the room as clean, the mini frig had so much frost that it was nearly useless. There were no working ice machines. The "hot buffet breakfast" of scrambled eggs, potatoes, etc. pictured on the website was not even close to what was served. There was a continental breakfast with frozen breakfast sandwiches & cheese omelets that needed to be microwaved. I could have gotten those items at a local gas station & they would have already been warmed already. The apple juice dispenser is not being properly cleaned & maintained. There were chunks of something floating in my glass.

Positive: The location and it was mostly clean and had more then a thin blanket Negative: Our door was not latching from the outside so it couldn’t be locked w our stuff safe inside. They switched us to a new room kind of a hassle but they did upgrade us which was nice.

Me and my wife stayed 3 nights here at a pretty decent rate but the whole time finding staff was damn near impossible the late night front desk man was saying inappropriate things to my girl and the continental breakfast had fruit flies coming out of the orange juice dispenser. My wife took her cup of fruit flies to the man at the desk and he just laughed and said it’s supposed to be that way. Nice as this place can be the staff here treats it like a joke and we won’t be staying here again

The folks at the Front Desk were amazingly nice and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious and the price was great. I would definitely recommend the quality Inn to anybody passing through. Thank you for a delightful stay.
