Spark by Hilton Harrisonburg University Area

Stayed at the Spark two weekends in a row and the hotel perfectly fit my needs for location, price point, and the outstanding service. What really stood out for me was the employees, they are all nice and welcoming, willing to do whatever they can to make the stay work. I would like to especially recognize Vivian, she is great at the desk and an expert elevator technician!

Conveniently located seconds from I-81. Parking is very tight, pack you things in your trunk, not back seat! The hotel was clean and well maintained. We were greeted by a lovely desk woman who quickly took care of us. Our room was very nice, immaculate, and actually larger than other Spark’s we’ve stayed at. But the heater was on its last leg, it sounded like a thunder storm. We had to turn it off. Breakfast was a disappointment as well. At 7am, 2 of the 4 cereal bins were empty, there was no fruit or granola and the yogurt machine was broken. There were 2 Chibani yogurts on ice. So great location, wonderful staff, good rooms but falls short on a few big items.

The room was immaculate. Location was perfect. Zero complaints there. But the complimentary breakfast wasn't even breakfast. It was complimentary sandwich bread you could toast, and that was pretty much it. I didn't expect bacon, eggs, and hashbrowns, but a muffin or danish would have been nice. They need to do better.

This Spark has got to be one of the best Hilton properties I’ve stayed at, the rooms were immaculate, the air conditioning was cold, and the TV was modern. Cameron at the front desk was so awesome and friendly she’s a real rockstar welcoming us warmly despite it being 11:30 at night. The only thing I didn’t like was the breakfast it’s very minimal compared to what I’m used to at Hampton Inn. But despite that I would stay here again because it’s location is perfect just off I-81.

Just off the highway, convenient. Safe area. Friendly staff. Breakfast is not bad. For a little more per night you can get hot freshly made waffles, meats eggs etc at Home 2 Suites Hilton. I accidentally booked this one. Breakfast is Quaker instant oatmeal 4 varieties, with yogurt, toppings, they did have fresh blueberries, sliced almonds, craisins. Toast, bagels, English muffins, muffins, butter, peanut butter, jelly, margarine, cream cheese. Also juice, coffee, and a variety of different teas. I've stayed at Spark properties twice, it's nice. But I do prefer the higher level of offerings at Home 2 Suites.
