Residence Inn by Marriott Harrisonburg

Room was spacious and clean. The indoor pool was warm and clean. The hot tub was a good temp but unfortunately the jets did not work at the time of our stay. The gym had nicer and newer equipment and was the busiest part of the hotel. The outdoor fire pit had an automatic timer and staff showed us how to operate. The breakfast was tasty and had an expansive selection. All staff were friendly and approachable. Great value at under $120 for a king suite on a weekday.

I recently stayed at the Residence Inn and had a pleasant experience overall. The room and common areas were clean and well-kept, which made for a comfortable stay. We paid just under $112 total for a King Studio. The room was awesome, clean, and had a lot of space. We used all the amenities. My wife swam laps in the pool (had it to herself) and relaxed in the hot tub. I used the gym (nice/new equiptment) and we both enjoyed a drink out by the gas firepit. The breakfast was delicious and had a large selection of choices. The small snack store onsite is reasonably priced and also has a nice selection. Check-in was easy and all staff were very friendly.

This Residence Inn claims to be a pet friendly hotel. Unfortunately, it is not a friendly hotel to those of us with pet allergies. I awoke at 2 a.m. with my eyes puffy and weeping fluid. I was suffering a severe allergic reaction to pet dander. I felt like a cat was sitting on my face. Fortunately, I carry around allergy medication so I was able to breathe after awhile. I asked the clerk the next morning if there were only certain rooms assigned to pets or if it was a free for all, assigning pets to whichever room is available. She told me it was the latter. I told her my problem with allergic reactions. She asked what part of the room needed to be cleaned. I told her, the room appeared spotless, but you can't get rid of pet dander easily. You need to have certain rooms that are non-pet, j
