Hotel Madison & Shenandoah Valley Conference Center

Attended the 6th Annual Winter Wine Weekend at the Madison. It was our first time staying at the Madison. Staff was friendly, rooms were nice. The event was very nicely done. Many congratulations to Tassie, Cody and their staff for an excellent job, well done. Looking forward to coming back soon!

We had such a lovely stay at Hotel Madison & Shenandoah Valley Conference Center over Thanksgiving weekend with our family! The hotel was so comfortable and cozy, and we loved that it’s locally owned and operated, it made the whole experience feel extra special and personal. The inside had the cutest Christmasy vibes, which our family really enjoyed, and everything was clean and well taken care of. The amenities were great, especially the pool, our kids absolutely loved it! It was the perfect place to relax as a family after busy days. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and would definitely recommend this hotel to other families. We’ll for sure be staying here again the next time we’re in town! 💖🎄

Positive: Lobby was pretty. Location is amazing. Coffee is great. Negative: The room however is more like a motel 6. Scratchy bed sheets. Ac didn't work. No comforter. Bathroom latch broke. Smelled of mildew

All in all, we were very disappointed with this stay, having visited your hotel on an earlier occasion when it was very pleasant. This time we were greatly dismayed by several aspects: 1. We ordered food for takeout from Monty’s in the evening, which was two soups and a salad. The soup, while tasty, was served in plastic containers, and when we picked them up were tepid. The salad (cost of $11) was a disgrace. It was sloppy with no additional ingredients to make it appealing. A few pieces of tomato, a couple of pieces of crumbled, bacon, and watery lettuce. There was nothing in the salad that suggested it was from a quality kitchen. We had asked for Caesar salad and received one tiny little container - covered hardly any of the salad. My husband and I wanted a two day getaway close to home. I’m a JMU grad and thought it would be a nice experience to stay at the hotel right beside the campus. Unfortunately I’ve been disappointed. We won’t stay here again. The lobby is very attractive, and the individual who checked us in was very kind. ||Our room was disappointing. We had two large windows with nice views, but the chair was the most uncomfortable thing I’ve sat in. There was a stain on the carpet, and the bathroom wasn’t very clean. I don’t feel like there was a lot of pride taken in the room. The hotel is not old enough for the bathroom to look as it does. The floor wasn’t clean with dirt in the corners. The sheets were rough, and I could have read the newspaper through the washcloth. When we asked a housekeeper if the
