Sonesta Simply Suites Detroit Novi

I should have read the reviews. I came because I needed peace. I thought I had booked the Sonesta hotel but booked the suite. Okay fine. Walk in seems a little outdated and weird. Got checked in went to get my things and walked up the stairs smelt like weed. Felt like I was in the wrong place. Went to my room the couch didn't look great. The bathroom floor had marks. But okay. Sprayed it down tried to Chile and all I could hear was bumping and kids. I'm like its a Tuesday but as it got later it got louder. The phoned didn't work I had to use my cellphone to get front desk. Complained and got my room move to floor 3. Grab my stuff sent to front desk grab new keys and went to the elevator . We have been here for a month now and plan on staying longer. There doing remolding during the day and yes the hallways might be a little dirty but they clean them every day. Plus ur not living in the hallways u have ur own one bedroom or two bedroom apartment with a full kitchen

They don't offer king size beds. I was disappointed about that. I did know that at the time of booking, however. The room did not have toiletries. My boyfriend had to go to the front desk for a CUP of shampoo. They didn't have conditioner at all. He also had to go to front desk for a hair dryer. There were dishes in the dishwasher, and used hair clippers in the bathroom. The TV was also in a weird position. It was facing the couch. We had to turn the TV, but because of where it was plugged in, it only went so far. If you're looking for an extended stay hotel, the amenities they offer were decent. If you're going for a night away or a couple day stay, I wouldn't choose this location. The man working the front desk was pleasant, and accommodating as he could be. The location is also good. Pl

To be honest, I stayed here and I actually have no complaints. The staff were very nice, helpful, and answered every question I had. The room was very clean and the full kitchen was a life saver when it came to cooking for my kids, instead of ordering out. Housekeeping did a good job and made sure everything in my room was restocked. Overall it’s a very nice and cozy hotel with very friendly staff!

I really hadn't paid attention online when I booked. Should have known since the price per room was lower than average in the area. Had gotten to the facility and there was a big steel box entrance sign at the front desk area. The check in area had old beat up carpeting and wasn't necessarily tidy. Got to the room and there was an odd smell. It had a kitchenette, the paper towel was has some weird mark on it (not sure what it was). The couch in the room was beat down and stained. There looked to be a small bit of black mold on the cauk around the bathtub. It seems like they may offer long term stays? All in all, I didn't press for a refund, even though it probably should have just been offered. Booked up the road at a much nicer hotel. I will admit my standards are quite high for hotels, s
