Extended Stay America Select Suites- Detroit - Novi - Haggerty Road

I've stayed at several ESA's. Overall, this is one of the better ones. I like how the windows open from the top in addition to the bottom, because I'm big on breathing clean air. The sinks have garbage disposals, and the residents have the option of taking their trash directly to the dumpster. This means that there aren't any odor issues in the hallway. The area's nice with a lot of office buildings nearby. There's a BP gas station across the street and down about a block. There's also a Meijer grocery store about half a mile to the south and a CVS pharmacy about half a mile to the north. The staff Ashley, Dorian, and Natasha have all been especially helpful to me.

Our family stayed here during an unexpected and stressful time after our home flooded, and I can honestly say this hotel became a temporary home for us. I was very concerned about finding a place that would feel comfortable and safe, especially with teenagers and dogs, and this property exceeded our expectations. While the rooms are a bit dated, they were extremely clean, well maintained, and comfortable. What truly made the difference was the staff — everyone was genuinely kind, welcoming, and always willing to help. Any concerns or requests we had were addressed promptly and professionally, which gave us real peace of mind during a difficult transition. Overall, it was a great experience, and I would highly recommend this hotel for both weekend getaways and long-term stays.

Room was fairly priced, located close to shopping, activities and the Fwy, but sadly the room was less than clean. I believe the bedding was reused; as i found long hairswithin the room and bed.If marketing as an " Extended Stay" option there needs to be more complete amenities to complete a guests stay.

Ashley at the front desk was quick and awesome. I was extremely impressed with how clean the room was. There is nothing even close to this price/quality in the area. If you're looking to stay for a week+ I wouldn't think twice about. Great location too, only a minute from the highway. This is my first stay at an extended stay and I particularly loved: -Full Sized fridge/stove/microwave -AWESOME water pressure -Very quiet environment -Studio room setup was perfect -Great wifi - I paid for the wifi upgrade ($31.99 for the month) but it was still testing at about 80/mb download without.
