Sonesta Simply Suites Cleveland Airport

I travel frequently for work and am rarely caught by surprise when booking hotels. I have stayed in the other Sonesta in the area before and enjoyed it thoroughly. Somehow I made the mistake when booking here, I thought I had booked the other until I reached my destination on my gps. I wish I had listened to my gut and cancelled before checking in but it was already about 7pm and I was also traveling with my little one so we needed to get things moving towards dinner and bedtime. First, I wasn't even going to complain about the key but I checked out this morning and this is when I started reading reviews and saw others have had the same issue. I've stayed here before, but this visit was very different from the others. I am usually assigned a room like the ones you see in the pictures that have their own entrances, but this time I was cast off into a building in the far right corner of the property. The rooms in this building resembled disused dorm rooms rather than an extended stay suite. In fact the first room I was assigned was so dirty, I noped right out of it and returned to the front desk. Something had been splashed all over the walls and furniture, there was a disgusting hairball on the door jamb to the outside and the inside door was coated with some undetermined organic muck. Positive: Very spacious. The full kitchen and living room was more than expected. Negative: Although it was large, it was older overall. The bathroom and kitchen had rust stains all over the floor, shower, sink. Long time to get hot water, door didn’t shut well, toilet didn’t flush very well, etc. Nothing terrible for just 1 night though.

A cheap place to stay. Rooms are fine but don't expect anything fancy or nice. You do get a little kitchenette which is nice but my room had exactly 1 plate and a can opener nothing else. Bathroom is fine, toilet flushed a bit slow, I always felt it was going to back up. Rooms are clean. Again it's cheap so don't expect luxury or anything, if you just need a place to crash and leave this place is solid and has room for 3 maybe 4 people in a pinch.

Very shabby hotel, not as pictured or described.|"Fully-fitted kitchens" - true for appliances, but don't include plates or dishes or even disposable coffee cups.||"24 hour fitness center" has a weight rack and weight bench but no weights. (There are 2 ellipticals and 2 treadmills.)||Bathroom sink clogged; toilet barely flushed. Other people's hair in the shower.||Very stained carpet and furnishings -- the couch cushions had something sticky on it and the back was streaked with who grime. No sheets provided for the sleeper sofa, which had a big rust stain across the mattress pad and a pile of crumbs from some previous visitor.||Every door in the room stuck -- you had to push heavily on the outside door to get it to shut at all, the bathroom door didn't ever shut, and none of the closet doo
