Red Roof Inn Cleveland - Airport/Middleburg Heights

“Smoke-free” in name only — smoke odor, roach, and poor cleanliness I booked this hotel expecting a clean, non-smoking stay based on the rating. At check-in I specifically asked for a non-smoking room. The front desk associate assured me the whole property is non-smoking, and there are “100% smoke free” stickers posted. Unfortunately, the moment I stepped off the elevator on the second floor, the strong smell of cigarette smoke hit me immediately. The odor was heavy throughout the hallway and followed me into the room. Inside the room I found multiple cleanliness issues right away: • A small roach on the bathroom counter as soon as I turned the light on • Hair on the toilet seat • A mark/substance on the side of the bathtub • A cigarette burn on the bathroom counter • What appeared to b

door lock was broken only staff could lock/unlock the door to allow us access. Hair and dirt all over floor, bodily fluids ontop of the comforter. stains everywhere and furniture in terrible shape. Didn't feel safe without a locking door. was told it would not be a problem to cancel the reservation and receive a refund however once home found out they denied our refund - we didn't spend more than 5 minutes in the room!! The smell was atrocious

Positive: Great location, wonderful employees, clean rooms. Negative: There are a lot of interesting people that stay there, but that comes with cheap rooms.

Red roof inn in middleburg hts. Was very friendly staff and clean comfortable room. The bed was very firm and slept well over night at this motel red roof inn no back pain. Other than like motel 6 would never go again there beds are clumby waking up with sore back rooms were filthy!

Discriminatory Blacklisting of Loyal Guests Avoid this location if you value fair treatment. I was a loyal, paying guest here for 3 months, spending thousands of dollars. After one request for a stay extension, management placed me on a "Do Not Rent" list and provided false information to Corporate, claiming I didn't pay my bills. I have every single receipt to prove otherwise. The staff uses "uncomfortable" as code to discriminate against working professionals who don't fit their mold. I have filed a formal charge with the Ohio Civil Rights Commission and contacted WKYC News. If you are a person of color or a long-term traveler, be warned: they will take your money for months and then treat you like a criminal the moment you aren't "convenient" for them.
