Sonesta Select Atlanta Airport North

Overall hotel was dirty, need upgrading. Carpets old and smells. Smell of weed throughout hotel was very disturbing. Clutter in hallways. Television in room was not working but, maintenance person did come and fixed it. He was very nice as so was the frontdesk check-in staff. No hot coffee offered in lobby. Room was very clean and comfortable. Bed was very comfortable. Noises from highway was very bad, unless you like hearing cars sounds all night. Did not received a wakeup call as requested at 5:30am. We would not stay here again.

To start we waited over 45 minutes for their shuttle to arrive at the airport. In the info provided it says to contact the hotel directly if shuttle doesn’t arrive except that the only numbers provided are for the booking desk which has nothing to do with the local hotel! When we arrived we were informed that the bar and restaurant are closed. We were told it is not safe to walk n the area even to the nearby Hilton Hotel where there is a restaurant. We set out anyway and about a half block away there is an Embassy Suites hotel with a full bar and restaurant. The sidewalk is well lighted and it felt perfectly safe to walk there! In the room it is impossible to regulate the temperature on the thermostat. I would recommend that you stay anywhere but this hotel. There are so many options near

I recently stayed at Sonesta Select Atlanta North and had a genuinely great experience, largely thanks to the outstanding professionalism of the night desk attendant, Clarence. From the moment I checked in, Clarence was welcoming, calm, and incredibly attentive. Late-night travel can be exhausting, but his warm demeanor and efficiency immediately put me at ease. He handled everything with patience, courtesy, and a level of customer service that truly stood out. It's rare to encounter someone who is both professional and genuinely kind - Clarence was exactly that. Desmond at the front desk was helpful and knowledgeable of his job and the surrounding areas… He has high personality and great customer service skills. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The hotel has a clean pool & free parking. Most of all the water is very hot, and that’s important coming off public transportation. I highly give Sonesta 10 out of 10 review five stars.

I booked this hotel for an overnight transit stay (3 dec 2025). The property was clean, and the front desk staff was courteous at check-in. Unfortunately, the overall experience was disappointing. After checking in late at night following an 18+ hour journey, I discovered that the heating system was not functioning and there was no hot water. I contacted the front desk and was advised to wait approximately 30 minutes while maintenance addressed the issue. After waiting nearly two hours, I returned to the front desk and observed multiple guests reporting the same problem. At that point, it was communicated that the issue was related to a gas supply problem and had been ongoing for more than two days.
