Solvang Inn & Cottages

Positive: Location! And the pool and jacuzzi were great— just the right temperature on a cool, autumn evening! Negative: The floor in our room needs to be mopped! The bottoms of our feet were black from walking around on the floor with our bare feet!

Victor was super helpful when I called for booking. Check-in was easy and we got a little bag of Danish cookies to welcome us. We got a family room with two bedrooms, which were not spacious, but perfect for what we needed, which was just to be in separate sleeping areas at night. Everything was clean. The shutters on the windows are cute but the downside is they let in a lot of light at night. Maybe a pull-down shade could be mounted behind the shutters so it wouldn't ruin the look but would provide a darker sleeping space. It was nice having a mini split in each bedroom so we could control our own sleeping temp. This is an older place and rooms on the second floor are accessed by stairs only. Loved the man at the front desk who checked us in he was so sweet! The rooms were clean and in a walkable part of town to everything. You also receive a breakfast voucher for a bakery across the street. Parking on premises and we used the hot tub and would have used the pool if we were there during a warmer season. Price was reasonable during mid February so not sure what it’s like during high season but we were happy with our value.

This place is so cute.. the only issue is no curtains, and the blinds don't block the outside lights. Stayed in room 110 and it was so bright in the room overnight it was hard to sleep... super bright night lights in parking lot, and bright lights on the street... Even with the great location , I would not stay here again ... kinda need to sleep

Oh, you have to stay in Solvang. What a fun little town. Solvang Inn and cottages was a good place for us. It had a pool that we did not use. The room was a good size, the bed comfortable. It was close to so many little shops that were in walking distance and then easy to drive elsewhere in town. We appreciated the breakfast coupon for the bakery across the street....yummy!
