Smoky Mountain Lodge

We have been coming to the Lodge for over 15 years. We always at night sit by the river and burn firewood and have a good time. This year they said that we would have to bring our own wood, which we did. We used the plastic chairs provided, but on the last night of 4 nights, the chairs were taken, locked up and we were told that we could never return again. Different ownership. Not American owed anymore. We will take our business elsewhere. They seem to dislike the motorcycle crowd. We had 15 rooms and spent over $9000 there...and they lock up the chairs.

Beautiful views , great place located in little Maggie Valley

Our motorcycle group went to Maggie Valley this weekend and stayed at this Motel. We had the BEST time! The rooms are in 3 separate sections. The "old" section had some very large rooms which would easily accommodate 4 people. They were decorated in what I call "rural Americana". They had a refrigerator, coffee pot, microwave and tv. The newer section had rooms with a fireplace. The middle section was more like a typical motel room. There was an on site Restaurant that had some pretty good food. they had steaks, burgers, great soup. open for dinner only. It was within walking distance of a wonderful breakfast place. We have been going to Smoky Mountain Lodge for 4 years now..Jim & Elaine are the owners and they are the best people you will ever find anywhere..They are always there for their guests and everyone has such a great time..Many biker groups go here and we were there when a group came in and we had such a great time with them and met a lot of people that night..It was like a big private block party..To us, it is our favorite place to be and we always go back there saying "we're home"...Just love these people!!

Best customer service that I've seen in a long time, the room was very big, the price was more than reasonable, location was good. Clint checked us in, told us about the area, gave us directions to what we were looking for and was very helpful.
