I gave 5 stars because our stay was pleasant, reasonable, and it was very quiet. The only negative things I have to say is it's a bit outdated, the rug looked like it was filthy and from the 19th century, the water in the shower didn't get hot but it was warm enough to deal with, the bathroom was a little small, the parking lot was sooo tiny and barely accommodates larger trucks (we were in a 2026 GMC Sierra 4x4 and struggled to park at night time) and the bed was a little weak at the foot. I thought I'd broke it when I sat down on it, but the frame was just stretched to the max. However we would stay here again, no doubt. The creek was nice, the grounds were very clean and quiet, and all in all the hotel room itself was super clean. The indoor pool was nice although we didn't use it. Ther

When we got there the older lady in the office was rude. Room was nice. |Can't complain about the room. We left and about an hour outside of Maggie Valley my sister realized she left her quilt there, she called the hotel and they found her quilt. We live 3 1/2 hours from there. I realized I left my makeup bag, with well over $200.00 in Marykay in it. My friend realized she left a shirt, watch/phone charger. That was found. But not my makeup bag. I will not stay anywhere that has staff that will steal like this. |Also like the review above, had stated, they tried to charge me twice. Thank goodness my bank took care of that for me.

Positive: The friendliness of the staff Negative: The room wasn't the cleanest, urine & hair around bottom of toilet from previous tenant. The comforter seems a bit outdated & sheets were an off-putting color of cream, all could be replaced with solid white, makes for a cleaner visual.

I wanted to write this review when I stayed at the hotel, but life got in the way. I stayed in November 2025. I drove along way to spend Thanksgiving in North Carolina. The room was cozy, clean, and the atmosphere was beautiful. The staff were all polite and helpful. I wished that I could stay longer than two days...I will definitely be back...

Upon checking in your room, it's tough at first to pinpoint why this is such a highly rated place, but the longer you stay there the more it makes sense. The outdoor area behind everyone's rooms is really cool and beautiful. Having the back porch screened in is nice too for All seasons. When we needed some help with something. The lady working there at check-in was very friendly and helpful. And even though it's an older place, the rooms have very comfortable beds and high quality amenities. We would definitely stay there again
