Exceptional Service – Thank You, Tina! I want to give a very special thank-you to Tina at the front desk of Sleep Inn Richmond North. She is absolutely wonderful and always greets guests with a warm smile and a calm, kind attitude. The biggest reason I will never forget her kindness is because of what she did for me during a very stressful moment. I made a reservation through Booking.com and within one hour my plans suddenly changed. As a nursing student, I truly could not afford the cancellation fee. Booking.com told me the decision was up to the hotel, so I called and Tina answered. She was so understanding and compassionate. Our room was very warm and no matter how many times we would adjust the ac or heat it would never cool down regardless of what temperature was on the unit. The hotel was full so we were not able to move rooms. The room smelled of old cigarettes when we first arrived but did eventually clear. The hot breakfast consisted of hot waffles made to order by yourself but the rest was just in the microwave. I can tell the hotel is trying to improve but I just did not feel comfortable there. I would not recommend.

4Check in process was smooth and easy and seamless. Front desk host was pleasant. Hallways were a little dark. Rooms are small but clean. They could use some modernizing. I'll check out breakfast in the morning but so far decent experience

Absolutely Disgusting!|This was one of the filthiest hotels I’ve ever stepped foot in. I honestly considered sleeping in my car (seriously), but the area didn’t feel safe enough. The entire place reeked and was suffocating with the stench of cannabis so strong that it seeped through the air vents and under the raggedy door, which didn’t make me feel safe, filling my room and making me nauseous. I’m pretty sure I got a contact high just from breathing the air all night. By morning, I was sick to my stomach.|If you’re a smoker, maybe this is your kind of place, but for anyone else, it’s downright repulsive. This place sorta sucks. I mean, the sheets were clean, so there’s that. Otherwise, it gives vibes of a former red roof inn - you know the kind - that someone painted avocado green. The color scheme matches the shower, which maybe was taken out of a 1976 RV. Fiberglass, beige, complete with moldy caulk. It felt like entering some sort of space egg.The shower head is set at 5’8”, not great for me; the water was warm, not hot, and the floor - oddly slick. The AC is blowing, but isn’t cold. It took several minutes of it fritzing before it would even turn on. It cooled the room off by morning, which is wild. The room was a jungle like humid 76, yet it was a cool 50 just outside. Don’t even ask about the stairwell, which was hotter and had a “unique” smell. The floors look clean, but are stick
