Sheraton Kauai Coconut Beach Resort

We had a great stay in February. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They always greeted us and asked what we'd done each day. The activities desk and front desk were always very helpful with any suggestions or needs. Housekeeping was very responsive as well. The location and facility was beautiful. We loved staying on the East side of the island and traveling all over the island.

We stayed here for six nights and they did not disappoint. We were greeted with Pooka shell leis and passionfruit drink. The room was great with ocean view and balcony off the pool. I love the location and the cute little town we were in. They even gave us bikes to use to get around for free. Every day my room was made up with fresh towels. The people here are very warm and friendly and I felt right at home. So on the day of our 20th anniversary. I was so happily surprised to have my bed decorated with a happy anniversary greeting. This was our first time in Hawaii and this hotel was a wonderful experience for us, along with enjoying the live music and Day Break buffet breakfast. Positive: The pool. location, bar and especially checkin staff. They were wonderful!! Negative: The water in the sink was too hot. Almost burned my grandson's hand. The cold water was too low.

We had a wonderful stay at this property and would not hesitate to return. After reading some of the reviews, we had concerns and tempered our expectations. However, our room was very nice and the property is beautiful and situated close to many attractions. The staff was exceptionally friendly and accommodating, as well. Sure, there are properties that are nicer and newer, but -- bang-for-the-buck -- we felt like we hit a homerun with this pick. We would absolutely return and recommend it without reservation.

This hotel has a great location. Pool and service is wonderful. The rooms are starting to show their age, been staying here for 20 years. It’s somewhat closer to the airport as we usually stay north shore most of the time. Pool is wonderful and most rooms have great views of the ocean even if patios are small. The staff makes up for the age of the hotel.
