Scottish Inns Maggie Valley, NC

I stayed one night and after checkout I was unexpectedly charged $75 for a toilet paper holder that was already broken when I arrived. I was never informed of any issue during my stay or at checkout. This charge feels unfair and unsupported, and no proof was provided that I caused the damage. Very disappointing experience and not how guests should be treated. I would be cautious staying here due to surprise charges after checkout.

Rooms were clean bed hard as a rock front desk owners rude make sure your check your room for previous smokers or damage so you dont get charged also they charge extra for early check in won't be back

My experience was absolutely terrible, there was roaches all over my room and they refused to give me a refund. We checked in pretty late and went to bed and then when we woke up there was roaches all over the bathroom. We tried to ask them for a refund, they refused. Now we have to be stressed out and scared we will bring them home. The owner refused to give us a refund because we had already left a review. There are pictures bellow. I also have videos of them but google wont let me put videos under. HE REFUSED A REFUND BECAUSE OF OUR REVIEW. They dont have a coffee maker and they also will not make coffee untill 11am.

This place was very nice. Room was very clean and spacious and the area was quiet. They have a beautiful creek in the back that they really need to take advantage of. This place is older but I think that adds to its charm.||I was worried when I read the bad reviews but we had dogs with us and limited option. I spoke with the host and she told me they just did a renovation 2 months ago. We were passing through and only stayed 1 night, but I could see myself staying longer

Positive: Nothing! Negative: Mold, roach, unhealthy. Health Dept. should come in. Left, but charged for five days. Family couldn't print, and/or understand their responsibilities. We had to be told how to turn handle for water! No senior discount either.
