Rodeway Inn Richmond West End

Average stay.. Nice room.. Bed and pillows weren't as comfortable as I'd hope but I made do. Convenient location as I had business meetings nearby the next day.. Reasonable pricing (thank you Choice Rewards, pays to be a member 😀) Overall, the stay was adequate for the overnight stay. Would probably stay there again.

Decently clean and quiet place overall. Shower was hot, bed and pillows were comfortable. Fridge was on when I arrived to store my food and worked well. Breakfast was a bit simple in fare (lots of carbs, little/no protein offerings) but tasty. Staff was friendly and helpful.

You get what you pay for - this is a low cost hotel. We saw 1 cockroach in the room, there was some mold in the shower, the toilet seat was broken and the bathroom exhaust fan did not work. Bed was pretty hard and floor was not the cleanest. We were traveling on a budget and it was just a place to sleep. We did not do the breakfast this time, but in a past visit they had a waffle machine, juice, a few pastries, some fruit.

Man at front desk canceled my mom's reservation on booking.com his excuse was that there was no name on the booking, when booking.com saves our information. She had a confirmation number, he said that didn't matter. Then we get there to get the rooms without reserving through booking.com and he quotes a substantially larger amount for the 2 rooms. Canceled our reservation just to try amd charge more for the rooms we had reserved. I understand being a business and wanting to make money but that is bad business and not right to do people this way. We came all the way here for this BS. Idk how the rooms are because we're not going to stay because of the crazy increase in price. Even showing him the room amounts on booking.com and offering to go back into the app and rebook them under the pric

I had a reservation for handicapped room and upon registering i was informed that they didn't have a handicapped room available for my mother. Having no choice after driving from New York to Virginia we had to make due. The first room they gave my mother had a bad leak in the bathroom and they claimed that it was from the shower curtain. Who ever stayed there before they gave me the room for my mother meaning that room was never cleaned. However, it was much water on the floor for that to be true. I had to demand that they give her a different room. For two nights she was unable to shower. I was not compensated for the inconvenience that she had to endure nor any apologies for the inconvenience. VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH THIS HOTEL. 😡
