Residence Inn by Marriott Rochester Mayo Clinic Area

The two bedroom suite was preferred for privacy while attending to the needs of one elderly Mayo Clinic out-patient. The staff was mostly excellent while catering to our every need. Steven Peterson was of particular help. As were the two people who took care of us at breakfast. The buffet breakfast was above average with hot and cold options. You have to get up early enough to get the croissants and I missed them on the weekend but they are definitely a special treat. I particularly liked that they didn’t shut the food off at exactly ending time as so many other hotels do, giving us a chance to eat 10-15 minutes past closing time if there were people still serving themselves. The hotel’s policy of a partial clean every day and a full cleaning every three days is our preference at any hote

We are staying at the Residence Inn for an extended stay to go to the Mayo Clinic for medical treatment. It is a hallway away from everything we need. What we didn’t expect was how wonderful a difficult experience was made by a kind, caring staff. We get a full delicious breakfast every morning, thanks to Cheryl and Clayton, as well as warmly welcomed everyday by Andrew, Genevieve, Daniel, and many more. Each has treated us a friend and kindnesses above and beyond hotel service have been generously offered. Our room feels like home away from home. We are so thankful.

Rooms were fine. Furnace in my room (501) sounded like it was going to explode but it kept us warm. Breakfast was OK. Coffee was great! Convenient on the subway.

Husband is going through treatment and we booked this hotel/suite. It’s so clean, bright, roomy for wheelchair, cozy and overall perfect. Pricing is fair! Breakfast was hot delicious and Cheryl was on top of the food, cleaning and greeting everyone. The front desk is friendly and very accommodating. Dan, the manager is very sincere and goes out of his way to make you comfortable. Easy access to the SL tunnel to Mayo Clinic. Really, this is the best place to stay if you’re visiting Mayo! You never have to go outside or move your car!!

This was our second visit to this hotel within the past six weeks. Our experiences was overwhelmingly stellar. The staff was excellent, warm, kind, accommodating and efficient. The rooms were clean and the bed comfortable. We would like to give a special shout out to Andrew at the front desk and Cheryl (in charge of breakfast). Both were there during our first and second stays. Each time they treated us like family. This hotel will always be our first choice when in Rochester!
