Residence Inn by Marriott Charlotte Lake Norman

I had an extremely disappointing experience at Residence Inn Lake Norman. Leon Snow was VERY unprofessional! I was traveling with an individual with disabilities who unfortunately had an accident in her diaper. We immediately took responsibility, cleaned the surrounding area thoroughly, and disposed of all affected items properly. We even obtained a garbage can from the hallway from housekeeping to ensure everything was fully cleaned. While there was a temporary odor, no waste was left behind. Despite this, the General Manager, Leon Snow, charged a cleaning fee. When I called to ask questions about the fee and the findings, he was rude, dismissive, and argumentative. He refused to discuss the matter unless I first reviewed video footage he planned to email and hung up on me when I tried

1) We arrived at this Residence Inn late on a Friday night after immediately leaving a Marriott Towne Place right after Check-In because of the filth in the room. The late night desk agent at Residence Inn was friendly and helpful. We Checked-In and went up to the room to get some sleep after a long journey. The next morning we noticed the carpet near the Sofa Bed was soaking wet. I thought that they might have recently Cleaned and Shampooed the carpeting so we called the Front Desk and they sent Maintenance. The Maintenance person came and looked in the Utility Closet in the room and said it was because of a recent storm. The only resolution they offered was to put a FAN blowing on the carpet and TOWELS over the large WET area. Nobody offered any room change whatsoever. We had to deal

Due to work, I stayed at the Lake Norman RI for two weeks. Thankfully - the staff, cleanliness, gym, laundry services, hot breakfast, and location made my stay excellent and easy. While NO one wants to be away from home for two long work weeks - the RI made this the best case scenario. My room was spacious, clean, and provided all of the comforts of home. The staff was friendly, serviceable, and very accommodating. I especially appreciated the gym - I used it daily and was impressed by it cleanliness and by it's attention to detail i.e. towels, headphones, wipes and water provided! I was also very grateful to have access to a laundry room! Overall it was a great stay and the area is walkable, safe, and pleasant.

No respect for Marriott Loyal Customers. We bought businesses in the area and have been staying at this property. In fact we are still here until tomorrow. We booked another two weeks at this location in March in order to focus on the new stores. We asked the management to consider changing our room to the 2 bedroom because my daughter was going to join us during her school break. The management had no interest in accommodating us even as a Titanium Elite Member and long time Ambassador Elite and made up some BS story about the room not being available although I can book it right now on line. We typically have over 100 nights a year at Marriott properties. The manager (Leon) didn't even have the respect to come out and talk to me and hid behind his office door. Loyalty means nothing

Stayed here twice... nice clean, quiet place. No ice machines because rooms have full-sized refrigerators with ice makers, but ice-makers did not work either stay. This last time I noticed that the icemaker had been unplugged in the freezer compartment (probably what was wrong with the first one too), and I don't see how that was possible by accident... either a guest did not want to hear ice drop or a housekeeper was tired of emptying ice buckets. I plugged it up, and it works fine now.
