Quality Inn Huntersville near Lake Norman

Upon arrival I asked for a forward, front of hotel room as the rear faced the entrance to I77 making it very loud. I was told there were no rooms availble facing front even though it was New Years day and the hotel was clearly 85% empty. I checked my room (322) which I listened to cars and trucks revving to get up to 70 mph to enter I77, then observed the beds which were so wrinkled from being slepted upon but not changed I went back to the front desk to ask for another room. I did not care the bed size, only that it was clean and not facing the rear of the hotel (same as my original request when checking in). I was met with reluctance. I asked about the rooms facing the parking lot in front as they were empty, housekeeping was cleaning them. I was told no and then magically the room acro

I would give this hotel 0 stars if I could. ||1. Our first room had mold and dripping water from the ceiling in the bathroom (see pics). I did not notice it because we checked in late that night and went straight to bed. At 7 am that morning and I showed the pics to the young lady at the front desk. I advised her that we had to leave for a medical appointment but would be back by 4pm and would like a new room.||2. We returned 4:15p ish and room was not ready we were advised that room was not ready. No apologies were given we were told we’d have to wait 30 minutes for our new room. 15 minutes later new room was ready. At first we were very happy then after an hour we realized the room was not getting warm. We at first tried layering up but by 8p we realized that we wouldn’t be able to sleep

honestly a horrible experience. the room smelled like week old food, there were little curly black hairs all in the sheets, stink bugs all over the room, lights didn’t even work with the switch, and then front desk says they’ll call their manager and i can expect a refund in a few days? but doesn’t have any customer support or supervisor number we could have to call if they don’t refund our money. truly horrific. i’ve stayed at Motel6’s with better service and cleaner rooms.

The hotel is definitely a budget friendly hotel and for a good reason. The stay is very underwhelming and from the first night, I was already telling my wife “you pay for what you get” The shower did not get hot. It would just stay warm. The shower curtains only had one layer, which has shown its age. There was a dead stink bug in the bathroom when we arrived. But you know what, that doesn’t really put me off too much as I am not expecting Marriott or Hyatt quality My main issue is that they have bed bugs. It doesn’t seem to be a massive infestation but my wife and I both got bites on our hands, following the same exact pattern that bed bugs like to follow. Even though the hotel was run down, which cannot be easily remedied, there were several maintenance issues that could have been easily fixed. The toilet seat slid around since both bolts veterans very loose, the tub faucet handle was very loose, and all it would take to tighten it up would have been a screwdriver. There was a full box of Kleenex in the dispenser, but they had not been started, and even using a comb, I couldn’t get one to start loose. The first day there were two bath towels, two wash clothes, and two hand towels for my family, so I got two more towels, which they gladly offered. The second day housekeeping left three bath towels, one wash clothes, and one hand towel. I couldn’t make any sense out of that. Breakfast was a joke. At eight in the morning, the sausage gravy
