Residence Inn by Marriott Charlotte Concord

Waste of money. Had to stay here with our cheerleading team. Never again. Kids can’t swim. Lips turn purple. It’s freezing. Not only is the pool freezing but the room itself is freezing. We’ve been traveling for the last 2 months and this is by far a waste of money. All the kids loved to swim at the other hotels. This one might look nice but absolutely not fun for the kids. Will NEVER in my life stay here again. Front desk said it’s because the temperature out side. It was colder in New Jersey 2 weeks ago and the INDOOR POOL AND ROOM WAS AMAZING. Had just as many windows as this one. Front desk said it’s also because of the windows. WASTE OF MONEY

I recently stayed at the Residence Inn in Concord, and overall, it was a good experience with a few things worth noting. The room itself was comfortable, though it did show a bit of wear and tear. Nothing major, but small signs that the space could use a refresh. The bed was also firmer than we prefer, which made sleeping a little less comfortable than expected. Breakfast was included, and while it was fairly generic, it was still convenient and appreciated — a decent start to the morning with enough options to tide you over. Despite the minor issues, the overall Marriott quality was still present: clean common areas, friendly staff, and a reliable, welcoming atmosphere. I’d give the stay about a 4 out of 5. Not perfect, but solid, and we would consider staying again.

I stayed at this hotel back to back with a brand new Residence Inn. This hotel needed a refresh as the bathroom was very dated and had mold in the corners and the handle for the shower was broken. It was fine, but slightly below average from what you expect from a RI.

Positive: This hotel was the cleanest hotel I've been to in a long time, and that is very important to me. The hotel front desk staff were so helpful and friendly. Other staff working about the premises were also friendly. The suites are roomy and worked very well! Negative: One thing the hotel could improve is that the breakfast food could come from healthier sources; however, the selections provided were plenteous!

When we first checked in about 4 hours ago, we checked the beds for bed bugs and found some. We immediately went down to the lobby and got a new room immediately. We got into our new room shortly after, and checked the beds again. One had one dead bug, the other was cased in. I literally just went to the bathroom and there is literal POOP on the floor. ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTED. I cannot make this up. Never again.
