Renaissance Boston Seaport District

I have stayed at Renaissance Hotels many times and it has typically been my go-to when traveling with my husband or friends. Unfortunately, this past weekend was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. Although we were placed on the 11th floor, which seemed perfectly fine, we were woken up at 1:00 AM by the adjoining room when a guest slammed the door upon returning. Around 2:00 AM, the situation escalated into hours of screaming, banging on doors, swearing, and what sounded like objects being thrown. The disturbance continued until nearly 5:00 AM. It was impossible to sleep. When I mentioned this at the front desk in the morning, I was asked if I had called security. I did not feel comfortable doing so, as I did not want the neighboring guests to know it was me who complained.

Came to use a hotel night that was set to expire. The hotel is ok - nothing exquisite but it works! Lap pool is 25 yards, but it's a single lane and not very deep. I swam a quick thousand yards before some kids came in with flippers masks and snorkels. Not much room for more than one to swim and I vacated to allow them some room for fun. One more note on the pool - because it's a single lane width with no lane lines, the pool feels a bit like swimming inside a washing machine with the waves bouncing off the sides of the pool. We ate the breakfast buffet, which was good with the exclusion of one moldy raspberry. Good service and a solid offering.

The overall experience during my six night stay was positive. The location along Seaport was ideal for food and shopping choices and for a great walk along Seaport. My room in the 16th floor had a great view overlooking the water and a view of planes taking off from the airport. The bed was super comfortable. The bathroom was small in that you had to close the bathroom door to be able to open the shower door - not great for someone who prefers to keep bathroom door open while showering to avoid extra steam and heat in bathroom. The technology on the TVs could use an upgrade to allow screen sharing. Chromecast or apply play. The Starbucks attached to the hotel is solid - great staff, relatively quick, and recipes made right. The resort fee of 35$ includes a $20 credit at Starbucks or onsit

Stayed for one night but had a good experience. Very close to airport. Restaurant in the lobby is pretty good with great service. Hotel has a lounge on the 20th floor, stocked with beverages and snacks. Room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. Two minor quibbles. One, lack of s shuttle after being so close to the airport. Second, my room was next to the elevator and it can be s bit annoying with constant but low hum noise. Nevertheless, it is a wonderful hotel.

Everything was wonderful. The room was large, clean and had an amazing view. The club lounge was nice. All the staff we encountered were super nice. We parked in the garage across the street.
