Red Roof Inn York Downtown

Our room at the Red Roof could have been much cleaner. The walls look like they hadn't been wiped down in years. The hotel's best feature is the location in downtown York.

Staff was friendly. Location is good if you need to be in the thick of the city but wow was this the worst stay! The room was disgusting. We saw Cocroaches in the bathroom. Honestly, if we could have safely driven home we would have instead of staying the night but in order to safely get home we had to rest. I will absolutely never step foot into another Red Roof again after this experience.

I can say the sheets smelled of beach which made me happy because I hope it meant they were clean because nothing else was. The shower floor was dirty, you'd want shower shoes. The floors were coming up and curling, molding off the walls with dirt behind. No hangers, not one. Elevator door wouldn't open on the 3rd floor, took rusty dirty stairs. Flies everywhere, cover your coffee.

Positive: "" Negative: No elevator, taking my stuff and all my kids stuff up to the 3rd floor was not ideal! And there was wet stuff all by the trash cans which made the steps slippery and I fell holding my baby. Railings on the floors did not look super secure

I stay here every year while attending the annual MAX Show at the local convention center. The rates are very affordable, and Rebecca is a fantastic manager and host. Me, and my three pet rabbits; look forward to her welcoming us every year. A high rating of two rabbit ears up!!|( (|( -.-)|o_(“)(“)
