Red Roof Inn Winchester, VA

I thought I had a reservation, through Expedia but something had gone wrong. It was no problem at all, we were offered the same suite, with our 2 pets, for a better rate. The suite was very nice and clean. Super friendly and helpful. Safe and clean place to stay.

You’re already a two star hotel, you would think you would try to do better. Last night, my husband and I saw I roach crawl across the floor and chose to keep our mouth shut. However This afternoon, I was naked and about to hop in the shower when the manager came, knocking on my door, saying that he smelled smoke coming from our room. I told him that I was not going to allow him in because I was naked and he said he would be back with the police. The police came with him and they searched the room and found nothing. I do not smoke, so of course they would find nothing. Not even five minutes later, the phone rings and I am told that we will have to leave the premises even though there are no grounds in doing so. They also will not refund so we are out over $500 for our stay.

The room was okay with nice floors. Bathroom and bathtub could have been cleaner. The room had an odor when we arrived but got better after leaving the door open for awhile.

Room smelled of old smoke, heater had brown stains on it, fan in bathroom made loud squeal when light on, water came out brown in shower, coffee maker didn't work. Would have complained when we got there but too tired to carry luggage back out with pets after driving all day Convenient location and front desk staff friendly though

Unfortunately, we stopped here while on a holiday road trip with our dog because no other place would take us with a pet. The outside of the building had mounds of trash. The first room reeked of cigarette smoke, had a dirty floor, questionable mattress with rusty looking specks, and roaches. We changed the room immediately and were given a second story room on the other side of the building. Night and day difference! That room was clean, smelled normal, no bugs. The walls were very thin and we could hear our neighbor snoring. It isn’t somewhere I would stay again, but the second room was doable in a pinch when we needed just a few hours of shut eye. They said they offer breakfast, but did not partake. It was coffee, orange juice, and yogurt. This RRI scarred us.
