Red Roof Inn Washington, DC - Laurel

This was unexpected but not the fault of a very helpful staff. The location and the facility is just what it is. They worked to accommodate us. The rooms offer clean, basic accommodation. The parking lot had not been plowed so parking was difficult. The shower didn't get hot and required running 5 minutes to get warm. I think everyone doesn't read the no smoking signs and likeness just keep smoking something that smells funny. We will not be returning but to take care of bysiness quickly, this place served rhe purpose.

Positive: The bed to sleep in prior to an 8 hour drive east Negative: Let's start with the accusations of smoking in the room. Offered coffee bar.. coffee machine broken. No offer to buy coffee off property, literally next to Dunkin. Office open hours posted however office not open had to use night window to even check out.

You would be hard pressed to find a better stay in this price range. The rooms are clean, and good sized with a work desk and a microwave-mini fridge combo unit. The staff is friendly and accommodating. The rounds are well kept but they’re renovating now so there’s some extra noise and clutter. I really like the place and I stay there whenever possible. The only downside is that the entrance can be a little more difficult to find than it should be.

The Laurel MD Red Roof Inn does not recognize or appreciate its most loyal members! (20+ years) Even though many improvements have been made over the years, they fall short of being a good hotel. I always reserve my room weeks, months ahead of my visit, and they never can accommodate my need of a ground floor room. Due to my physical needs and my service pet's kennel, this is a necessity. Every visit I'm told there are no rooms available on the 1st floor, but when I walk in the mornings I see several vacant rooms. Sometimes up to 10 unused rooms. My last visit the elevator did not work! There is dog feces everywhere. It's unsafe and unhealthy to the public, and it's not a good look for the property owner/managers that should be monitoring the cameras and/or add more cameras to the exterio

To Corporate Management, I am writing to formally document an extremely disturbing experience my children and I endured while staying at your Maryland location. What began as a routine family visit escalated into an incident of retaliation and unprofessional conduct that no guest—especially a family with children—should ever experience. During our stay, we were subjected to disrespectful and inappropriate behavior by an employee named **Aaron Johnson**. His attitude and the manner in which he spoke to guests were hostile, dismissive, and entirely inconsistent with basic hospitality standards.
