Fairfield Inn Laurel

We stayed here for two nights for a family funeral.||When we arrived, no one was at the front desk. We waited a good five minutes. As it turned out, the young girl who was supposed to check us in was getting onto the elevator. She did see us but she kept going anyway. ||On checkin, I was required to sign a waiver that I would not back charge the hotel fee. She said, "we get a lot of back charges". This generally means that they are putting holds on peoples cards and not releasing them. My advice: don't use a debit card at a hotel if you can avoid it. ||The room was clean. Counter space in the bathroom was limited. Shower was okay. ||There was no luggage rack in the room. When I asked for one at the front desk I got a blank stare. We don't have those was the reply. Hey travelers! The rooms are spacious and clean at this property, as a matter of fact they are undergoing a property renovation as we speak:) The front desk servicers are personable and welcoming. And as particular as I am as a Brand Elite traveler, I have stayed here over 10 times during business travel. Need I say more? Enjoy!

Decent hotel. I think this place is a bit below the normal Marriott standards. He could use an update. State only one night so it’s served its purpose. Good location between Baltimore and DC.

During our two-night stay in room 119, we encountered cockroaches. The next morning, while having breakfast, I overheard a lady mentioning that she had found bedbugs in her room. I completed a survey and shared my concerns, hoping that the hotel would take necessary actions to maintain the Marriott's reputation. The front desk staff, particularly the lady, was very pleasant.
