I understand the rooms here are cheap but that doesn't mean you should skip out on cleaning and maintenance. It's sad that this place was seemingly remodeled less than a year ago and has so many issues with the establishment. Bathroom door does not latch shut. Floors are dirty. The bathroom was not fully cleaned. Mold on the bathroom ceiling. Theres no bar soap, only gel! I read in previous reviews that they sometimes keep your $100 deposit and dont refund your card, so I did a cash deposit which was only $50. When I went to check out the next day they said I was all set and waited for me to walk out. Uh, can I get my deposit back?? Oh... right. If I hadnt remembered they would not have cared one bit. I am writing to express my disappointment with my recent stay at the Red Roof from February 8, 2026, to February 10, 2026. The hotel's exterior was not particularly impressive, but the presence of dog feces on the sidewalk was a concern, as it suggested a lack of attention to detail. Our room was clean, but the door's gap at the bottom allowed cold air to enter. When we encountered an issue with the toilet, we notified the front desk and were instructed to retrieve a plunger from the office, which we felt was an unreasonable request. As a hotel guest, it is reasonable to expect that the staff would handle such issues. Furthermore, discovering cockroaches crawling on various surfaces upon waking was alarming. Ozey was the worker at the front desk who provided great customer service. I was double booked on a non refundable stay and he was understanding and accommodating. The location was great, a lot of places to eat. The room was basic, it’s what you pay for. I recommend this place if you are looking to save money for a basic room and a hotel that provides great service.
