Red Roof Inn Johnstown

For the price it's tolerable. The renovations are mostly well done but still not totally complete. The bedding is comfortable but the doors, walls and windows are paper thin. If you're a light sleeper ask for a room as far away from the elevator as possible... the bell chime every time it comes to the floor is super annoying. Coffee was decent with flavored creamer options. Pretty busy street it's on and parking seems limited. Powerful shower head with very fragrant soaps affixed to the wall. The towels could use a bleach, they're white but didn't even seem clean. Clock radio not accurate but couldn't figure out how to set it. Fixed the clock on microwave ourselves though. There's no real closet and no tissues in the room. Check in seemed to take quite a long time with no explanation. S

Check in was pleasant. Room was very clean and bed was comfortable. Noise level overnight was poor. Doors closing hard, loud vehicles passing by, tv in next room must have been on all night, coughing heard nonstop in a nearby room. I put on a noise canceling app on my phone to drown out the noise, but didn’t help.

Staff clearly not happy to work here. Barking dogs the entire time. Fighting couple that can be heard all over. No hospitality whatsoever. The laundry doesn't work, no coffee maker in room. Dense parking. Hair in the shower. No room service. I guess it's okay if you can find a super cheap rate. The only plus is Netflix. Wish I didnt book so many days before testing it out.

We enjoyed our stay at the red roof Inn, for us the location was good. We were able to walk from the train station to the hotel. The young lady that managed the front desk when we got there was very helpful and informative, she was able to direct us to a few places to eat and a few places to visit. The rooms were very clean, and when the shampoo dispenser was empty, they came up with more shampoo. We would definitely stay here again. The breakfast in the morning consisted of danish, donuts, coffee, and juices, which for us was fine

Prior to staying at this Hotel, I was concerned as there were a number of poor ratings. We stayed two nights and the lobby area, hallways and room were all clean. All the staff members we encountered were nice, helpful and accommodating.Looks like this hotel was recently remodeled and I would recommend to others based on the cleanliness, price and location.
