Red Roof Inn & Conference Center McKinney

I stayed at the Red Roof Inn after seeing the photos online, which made it look really nice. When I got there, it didn’t quite meet those expectations. The room itself was okay overall, but a few things stood out to me.||The bathroom was pretty small, and the door had visible scratches and chew marks, which made it clear that a previous guest had a dog in there. There was also some water damage along the trim near the shower area by the sink.||There was a connecting door between rooms, and the gap underneath it was pretty large, which made things feel a bit uncomfortable. We stayed in more than 6 hotels on our trip to Texas, and this is by far the nicest. It has everything you need in close proximity. Clean rooms and grounds. We slept so well We ended up staying another night. And our meetings ran over and we drove all the way back across Dallas to stay third night. The staff here is very friendly and professional. They made me feel welcome and comfortable.

So I stayed here at the red roof. They were very good to me. I had to stay here for like about two weeks or so trying to get into a place for like homeless people down the street Samaritan Inn and they were very good service. I’d say 4.5 in terms of service because of one person technically now cause he did anything really it’s just when I asked them questions. He seemed very vague, not necessarily bad service, but I know there was a couple things that they did do for me in terms of like helping me with Minor prices and stuff because of my situation. I only had so much money to stay so the service was really good. I didn’t know that the location is fine. I was able to get to the places that I need to get to in terms of like Walgreens. I could walk there on like a 15 minute walk and feel li

Positive: Nothing Negative: The room smelled like weed and i had a infant with me the staff yelled at my family and was so disrespectful we were made to feel so uncomfortable we left and had to grt a new hotel with zero refunds

Sam is honestly the reason I’m giving this place five stars. He deserves more than that. From the moment I checked in, he was friendly, talkative in the best way, and genuinely entertaining. You can tell he actually cares about the guests and enjoys what he does. I’m still staying here, and his positive attitude has already made my experience so much better. The motel is lucky to have him.
