Holiday Inn Express & Suites McKinney - Frisco East by IHG

Not worth the price; Bathroom was not clean - had feces and crap in the lid of the toilet, tub rusted. Walls were stained. I got a better experience with cleanness at Laquinta - low key. Brought it up to manager but only refunded one night. Really disappointed for the area; expected more. Staff was okay. Breakfast was good.

When you first walk in, it smells amazing! Staff is friendly and competent. There's a nice free breakfast. My bed is comfy. It's been a nice stay. Wish their pool was indoors bc I'm here off season. Walking distance to District 21.

Positive: Nothing Negative: We didn’t have maid service and we had to ask for towels both days. And the trash cans were full and no one emptied them.

Check-in was frustrating. Tried to recheck in and our room wasn't ready. No big deal. But why we cant take a credit card and get prechecked in I dont understand. Only to come back to check in and hear we were upgraded to a king disability room is laugh able. That isn't an upgrade and we asked for two beds. Yes I was frustrated and the front desk agent told me to calm down, dispute not yelling, and talking with him about how frustrating it was because I discussed it needed to be two beds. But thank you holiday inn for hiring an agent to tell me to calm down. I only wish I acted the fool so at least it would be warranted.

For the money, you'll have a hard time finding something better. The Holiday inn specializes in very tasteful bare minimum accomidation. You dont have more than you need, but everything you have is pretty nice. I thought the room layout was great (lots of hooks, flat surfaces, extra seating, big bathroom, open area), the bed was comfortable and there was zero outside noise. My only complaint is with breakfast options for people with dietary restictions--I'm gluten free/dairy free, and all i could eat was eggs, sausage, and fruit.
