Ranchito Motel

I was sent here from the Colonial Motel.... Terrible. Drug addicts screaming in the middle of the night. The lady at the front desk was rude and didnt listen to my concerns about the listing not being accurate on hotels.com. there arent fridges, microwaves or toilet paper. Stains on the bed sheets. Not even a lamp by the bed. Newly renovated and such a shame I have to give such a poor review.

Awesome owner. Comfortable rooms. Husband is a truck driver and the truck needed new brakes among other things... They let him change everything right there in the parking lot. If we ever go back through there we'll definitely stay again.

There were 5 of us on 5 motorcycles and thought we would take in a true Route 66 Motel experience. It was about 9PM and all was quiet. We paid for 3 rooms and started to settle in. As soon as we did, the place came alive with what looked like permanent residents. A younger guy in a wife-beater shirt came over to us while we were unloading our bikes and asked, "What are you guys doing here?" We told him, "We're here to get some sleep." He gave a little laugh and said, "Good luck." Soooooooo, that was my clue to leave and forget the 40 bucks I spent on the room. One of our group actually got all our money back as we told him we didn't feel safe. I was scared stiff and was soooo glad to get out of there. Bartender was great. Other staff was rediculously rude. Chastised the new bartender in front of customers and when I told him he was rediculous for causing a scene over not taking out the trash told me I didnt matter and wasnt part of it. This place is rude, dirty, and I hope it fails. We will never go back to Gallup again after this. Do yourself a favor and keep driving.

It was ok. The internet does NOT work here, no matter how many times mgmt says it does. For two days I needed, and it wouldn't connect, though it says it's connected. And then you notice the "office" has its own high speed, but you do NOT. Not bad rooms for the price of $50? A little TLC could make them look a lot better. Dissembled fire alarm in the room, but leave the wires hanging and alarm sitting on desk? A couple big beatles I couldn't chase out of the room. It seems these Indian (India I think) families own all these little small motels, and put little effort into them all, instead of having ONE good hotel. Not "bad" but not "good" either.
