Royal Holiday Motel By Belvilla Gallup I-40

We are so grateful to have been hosted here for a night. We got in super late, after 2am, with dogs and a cat. They had an after hours number to call, and the gentleman helped us out without any hesitation after answering on the 2nd ring! This morning I had some cereal and juice, and they let us do a late checkout so we could rest easy. The parking was well lit, and there are cameras everywhere that made us feel much safer than what Google and many other reviews said. Traveling with a U-Haul and truck full of stuff was a concern, but we were so relieved when we saw all the fencing around the parking lot. Couldn't be a nicer family running it, and their English is not nearly as bad as other complaints. They have the lobby decorated so beautifully, I am so grateful we took a chance on them🙏

Positive: Secure exterior entry. Large room.Excellent shower. Great selection of channels on the TV Negative: The location was pretty far removed from the "downtown" and there was a lot of noise from trains coming and going (in fairness I don't think one could escape the noisy trains ANYWHERE in the town of Gallup)

Bed and room was clean. It was a clean, safe, homey & welcoming place to stay. The owners are kind, hospitable people. No frills motel. The train runs right alongside the whole street, and the operators blow horns constantly without mercy, so I recommend some good foam earplugs. Slept well and comfortably.

During the second week of June2024, my most favorite #1 son and I were moving much of his household from Mountain ViewCA-USA to HoustonTX-USA, which required overnighting in several communities along the way. One such location was the ROYAL HOLIDAY MOTEL, GallupNM-USA. Pet friendly & they have smoking rooms which is cool. The family who owns this motel is incredibly kind & attentive. Good stay for the pups & I on a roadtrip.
