Best Western Gallup West

At first everything was going alright with our stay at this best western in Gallup NM the room is nice and the pool but the breakfast is not the best because the lady who runs it was off set doesn't like to be spoken too and the breakfast that was prepared eggs and sausage other items felt very cold and dried. What really ticked me off was the fact another person who works the front desk was telling me to avoid visiting chaco canyon national park first of all I've been there like couple of times but too hear some biased person who tells me otherwise does tell me they don't like the four corners area at all and I've heard people from the Gallup NM area all say they don't like visiting Farmington NM area I believe that's a lie cause at one point I did see a couple of people I know from Gal

Cleanness is not great. Room was freezing 62. Location is good right off the freeway. List is provided of everything you will be charged for if it’s gone. Extremely detailed made me feel like owner are tired of theives. Didn’t build confidence in the safety of the area. Linen is old and needs replacing and an extra blanket in the room would have been nice since it was cold. Noise was a bother walls and thin. I wouldn’t stay again. Employees were very nice and friendly 😉

Positive: It was less than two miles from where I was doing volunteer work. Negative: I had to fix the flapper valve in the toilet, it was running constantly. Also, breakfast could have started earlier. They started breakfast at six a.m. and I had to be at work at six a.m. So no breakfast from the hotel.

I stayed here on my way from California to Santa Fe. I wasn't expecting much more than the typical rural franchise motel experience. What I enjoyed was much more hotel than motel ... well-lit, contemporary lobby, spacious lounge with delicious hot breakfast options (which I did not get the chance to enjoy but it smelled wonderful and the coffee is very good. The room was spotless and modern with a mega-comfortable bed and linens. I remember staying at Best Westerns at a kid ... this is definitely not that. Not sure if all Best Westerns are this nice but I will make a point try them out when they are an option in the places I visit.

I stayed here for a couple of days, which really gave me the chance to experience the hotel fully, and I had a wonderful stay overall. Everything in my room worked correctly, and I really appreciated the small light on the light switch near the door. It made it easy to see where I was going in the middle of the night without turning on bright lights. The rooms are well insulated, and I didn’t hear noise from other guests. There is a train that runs through town and sounds its horn about every 20 minutes, so I’d recommend earplugs if you’re a light sleeper. The front desk staff was efficient and professional. The exercise room was clean and easy to use, with a treadmill, bike, elliptical, weight bench, free weights, and a yoga mat. The laundry facility was interesting and modern: you downl
