This place just gets worse every time I come. For starters the bathroom door in our room wouldn't stay shut and the lock was broken. Someone had to hold it shut for you. I paid for a pool side room but apparently that doesn’t guarantee first floor. That should be clarified during the booking process. The rooms could use some serious tlc, rusty mental vents and stained carpeting. There are NEVER any clean towels in the pool area. The hot tub is luke warm with no jets. The pool water is so foggy and gross we could even see the bright colored pool toys we brought once they hit the bottom of the pool. The kids had fun swimming at least, but this will be our last time booking here.

Pool, not impressive. Dirty diapers everywhere. Kids not in swim diapers, clothing left everywhere. People swimming in full clothing, pool rules not followed or enforced. Breakfast is just waffles that are made two at a time and you wait in line for. No other hot food options. Smelled like weed in most hallways. No shower curtains in shower, soaked the whole bathroom. Food all over the stairs, and you don’t want to take the elevator because it smelled so bad my children refused to get on it again. Overall lot somewhere we will stay again

If I could give zero stars, I would. Listen to the reviews! Do not stay here, this place is filthy. Front desk and bar employees, any employees, are impossible to find. Water was disgusting, full of hair and hazy in the pool and jacuzzi. We went during a week day while traveling through the state so the water park was closed which we understand. Our kids couldn’t play at the arcade due to the arcade card dispensing machine not operational. While we were waiting for the front desk person to ask for help with the arcade, which took over an hour and was never resolved, a man right outside the front doors pulled his pants down and crapped his pants… he proceeded to walk into the hotel lobby. My entire family witnessed this including our three young kids. Then we go back in our room to get away

Came here with my family for 1 night and the pool is as advertised. The water is warm, they had 1 of 2 big slides operational and the pirate ship kept my little two busy for hours. As for the rest…meh. The pizza restaurant was severely understaffed and we saw several families walk out before getting any service. Our server was very pleasant and set the expectations up front that they had 1 person in the kitchen and two ppl working the front of house. We took that extra wait time to have the kids run around in the arcade and we WON all kinds of toys in their various claw games. Great arcade! This plays really comes alive after hours. The hallway noise didn’t end until a lady was forcibly removed by police around 2:30am. Would recommend if stopping for a night and wanting to get the full D

Positive: We read a lot of bad reviews about this hotel, but came away mostly satisfied. The waterpark was a perfect distraction from the cold Iowa winter. Negative: If you're expecting a new, fancy hotel, this is not the place for you. If you're okay with some outdated things and a lot of kids and commotion, you'll really enjoy it.
