Quirk Hotel Richmond

We stayed at Quirk for a local volleyball tournament. The hotel is adorable. We loved the lobby and room decorations. I wish it were warmer so we could have enjoyed the courtyard or the rooftop bar. The location was perfect for walking to the convention center, and local restaurants. Our room was clean and well-appointed. The towels were fluffy, shower was hot, and the bed was comfortable, all the things you look for when you are away from home.

One of a kind hotel experience. Loved the beautiful atmosphere and artwork. The beds were very comfortable, room was very clean, staff was kind and helpful. The only issue (not really that big of deal) I had was that the shower took about a solid 10-15 minutes to get to room temp hot, again not a big deal. Still worth the trip to a lovely historic hotel. That I would re visit. 5 stars!

Bad check in experience. Room was not ready at check in time. Even though I was told they would call me, it took me checking on the status for the room to be miraculously ready. I had ordered a charcuterie board during the booking process, which was not in the room. After I inquired and proceeded to cancel, since it was going to get there too close to us leaving, they still delivered it to the room. I had also booked a dog package that came with a doggie basket. Those things were also not in the room; I had to call and after speaking to a couple of people, they dropped the stuff off to the room. My husband booked me a suite at Quirk as a Christmas present to get a solo staycation as a working mom of two. He booked the suite so that I could have a bath (as pictured on the website) and the total cost was nearly $700. When I arrived and checked in, there was no bath. I attempted to call to the front desk but the phone did not work. I was meeting friends for their happy hour shortly after check in and decided to move on and enjoy my night. I took a shower but quickly discovered there was NO hot water (now reading additional reviews I see this is not a new problem and remains inexplicably unfixed). The one main blanket is thin, the sheets are scratchy along with the towels. I had to ask the front desk for an additional blanket which they did provide politely. In the middle of the nig
