Quality Inn & Suites Danbury near University

Let's start with getting there. This is NOT the fault of the establishment, but, if you are looking for it, it is IMMEDIATELY off I-84. The GPS thinks that it is a mile down the road, so you miss it as you are turning onto the street. Next, I will start with myself...I always stay in Budget Motels...so, this review isn't comparing this place to the Ritz...this is compared to a Red Roof Inn or Motel 6. First let me tell you why there were more stars than you might expect. The beds were uber comfy. And now, let me talk you through my evening in Room 220: First of all, you need to figure out how to get to the room. When the elevator opens on the second floor, you need to go through 2 doors in the stairwell...you are NOT dropped off in a hallway...that is yours to discover alone. For us,

The room was clean and comfortable, and check-in was smooth. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay. The location was convenient — close to the university, with easy parking and access to nearby stores and restaurants.The room itself was simple but had everything I needed for a short stay.Overall, a good value for the price , perfect for a quick trip or business stay in Danbury.

Not good experience. Location is good. This hotel is non-smoking, but 1st room they provided us is smell someone is doing smoking in bathroom & also water in bathroom not drain well. Then they provide 2nd one bathroom condition same water is not drain properly and so exhaust fan is not working or non-existent. We ask at front and he came with plunger but didnt work very well. Next time I won't consider to stay at this place.

They like to charge you more than what's on the website even though you're a member, also they like to charge your card even though you didn't break anything or do anything for them to charge it. Got charged 2 times, the first time the "manager" said he'd refund me, I don't believe him, then when I check out, later on in the day I see another charge, I called them and all they say is "oh you're gonna have to talk to the manager". They're untrustworthy and unprofessional. Most of their rooms are also health hazards. The picture I included is from one of the rooms I went to, I've been in rooms where the ceiling was leaking, where the toilet tank was broken, moldy smells in the room. I usually don't complain but if you're going to over charge my card then act dumb about it, have fun.

The room wasn't cleaned very well and we had a broken window in our room. The site stated they had an indoor heated pool, when we arrived the pool was closed the entire time. The hot breakfast was a joke the only thing hot was waffles. Everything else was basic, cereal, toast, bagel. Also to add for anyone staying with kids, the doors to enter the hotel don't lock, so anyone can walk on at anytime. If I would have known these things I would have stayed at a different hotel. This place was beyond disgusting and disappointing.
