Quality Inn Effingham North

1st time at hotel. Very pleased. Clean rooms. Nice staff, decent breakfast. Damn good heater in rm too! I travel from NM to OH frequently. Used to stay at a hotel next to this one. They were rude staff and high prices for what it is so decided to try Quality Inn. So glad I did. In Springfield, MO stayed at Courtyard. Dbl price, no breakfast, shoddy rms. This Quality Inn hotel is way better. I will be staying here on my trip back home in a couple weeks and possibly again in May. I wish I'd stayed here before.

Clean room. Few that still does daily housekeeping. Good breakfast with more than just a river of carbs and sugar. Lost a point because pool and sauna were out of service.

The staff was great but one of the rooms I booked smelled from marijuana from the previous guests. I was not happy because my son and his family were staying in that room. We couldn't switch rooms because I am allergic to marijuana and was having a reaction just from walking in there. I had also booked a jetted tub suite with a balcony, but when I checked in that room was already taken. i also had to rent a roll away bed for my grandkids but they said they didn't have any pillows available. And if they did we would have to pay a fee for them. The pool area was great and the the hotel was clean. When we checked in the system wasn't working and it took over 1/2 an hour., and it wouldn't accept payment and the check in clerk asked me if I had enough money in my account to pay for the rooms!

I actually really liked this hotel. Staff was friendly, accommodations were quite nice. Bed, shower, TV. Cleanliness was good. Some noise during night, but that is luck of the draw as to who else is staying there. Big minus in one area: toilet basically did not flush! This ended up being hotel‘s problem as it was left in dumpy condition, so to speak. Hopefully maintenance can get on that issue.

Hotel is great value however it is dated . We spent the night just passing thru to different dest. We had a pet room and unlike other hotels they only use the same rooms for pets and it shows. We can deal with that however they are on the first floor next to the stairwell and the people above us helped make our stay very uncomfortable . The hotel is older and we struggled to sleep due the noise from above . If your looking for a cheap place to just crash for a few ask for second floor non pet room .
