Baymont by Wyndham Effingham

A really pleasant and comfortable hotel. Although it’s an older property, it was well maintained, clean and comfortable and tastefully decorated. For what was offered as a two star property, it presented and was decorated tastefully and could easily give a three star property a run for their money. Every staff member we interacted with was cheerful, helpful and very attentive. If traveling through or visiting the area, I would definitely recommend staying at this location.

Positive: It was nice and clean. I liked that the pet friendly rooms were on the first floor. Negative: I wish the hotel wasn't so close to the interstate. The noise level is high and my pet had a hard time focusing when it's potty time. The potty area is in between the parking lot and the road.

Very clean. Continental breakfast. Nice bed and pillows. Great shower pressure. Pool is not available if you are interested in that. Sacks available to pick up after your puppy if needed. Grass cut clean. Be careful when searching the internet that you are calling the actual hotel and not Expedia. Expedia is on commission and tell you false info. They said they were including the pet fee yet once we got there, the hotel has to charge the pet fee since they are the ones who actually have to clean the room. Expedia also said they offered us a cancellation opportunity and we refused it. Not true. It was a nice stay even though I was so disappointed with Expedia (which I didn’t even realize I was booking through Expedia. 😳)

The rooms could be cleaner but they aren't filthy. Customer service was fantastic and its in a great location. Nice bar next door and not far from several restaurants. Comfy bed.

Absolutely will stay here again. This is the second time I’ve studied here in my way to Missouri to visit my mom. No issues! Head a double room on ground level and easy peasy! No elevators to the second floor so don’t plan on bring heavy stuff up. Breakfast is you typical continental style and well I travel with a coffee pot but you go right ahead. Next to expressway so it’s noisy from that.
