Quality Inn Des Moines North

I booked 3 rooms for 2 nights each Jan 16-18, 2026. I have previously stayed at this hotel and ut was fine. Not this time. 2 of the rooms had blood on the walls, curtains and bedding. Thank God we bring our own bedding. The 3rd room had roaches and bed bug shells. Swimming pool was so nasty and littered with dirt on the bottom of it, you could see footprints. Ill just stay at Merle hay Quality inn from now on! Had no choice but to stay because refund would take 7-10 business days

rented a second room for one night, a. Jacuzzi room @ $125 for the night. The Jacuzzi works not full up, tried for 30 minutes. water drained out faster then you could fill it. could not use it management refused to partially refund any money

Positive: nothing Negative: Our family of five entered a unit that reeked of mold. The next day, sewage flooded the bathroom. Our request to change rooms was denied, leaving us to sleep with someone else’s waste on the floor.Wanted full refund if not partial. unacceptable!

LOOK ELSEWHERE. Photos are very deceptive shown online vs what you're going to get in person. Bed coverings had stains, carpet and wall had random stains throughout. Room and hallways smelled of mothballs. Peephole on door was covered with gum and tissues upon arrival, small hole in wall filled with tissues as well. Bathroom shower had black spots covering floor. Location is between two other motels, you must drive through a neighborhood to get there. We were there for two nights, both mornings leaving the police were outside the building. Appeared to be abandoned cars in parking lot with flat tires sitting. Again photos online look nice, but this is not what you will be getting when staying.

The room was clean and comfortable. I especially appreciated that there was housekeeping service every day. Many more expensive hotels have cut down on how often they tidy and refresh rooms during your stay.
