Pony Island Inn

This is a top notch choice for suites. The Blackbeards suite is larger than an apartment basically. Super clean. Super friendly. Christopher and Rodger at the front are very helpful and friendly. They have golf carts on location for easy travel around the village as well. You will pay less for a stay here rather than the Virginia Beach oceanfront any time of the year easily. Not a single traffic light and no big box stores. Relax in the off season and plenty to do in the summer. Highly recommend the pony for your next stay!!!

The Pony Island Inn is absolutely perfect in every way. Rooms are spacious and clean. The staff went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. Being able to rent a golf cart from them was very convenient and made touring around so easy. A few times we also just walked as you can get to anything from their location. We can’t wait to go back!

We were recently stranded on Ocracoke when ferry service was suspended. What was a day trip became a 2 night trip. The staff at Pony Island Inn were so responsive, helpful and accommodating! They did not overcharge us for the rooms needed, they even gave a small discount due to the nature of the situation. The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. It was nice to have the fridge, extra cold freezer and extra sink and they even provided us with some overnight items we needed! What a great place to stay-loved the convenient location. We will be back!

Our family of 10 got stranded on Ocracoke Island because of windy conditions. We were thankful this motel had rooms for the night. They even provided toothbrushes and toothpaste as well as giving us a fair price for the rooms. Rooms look a little dated but we're nice and clean.

I had a wonderful stay! The property was spotless and very well kept, which made it feel comfortable right away. The location couldn’t be better—close to everything you need on the island, whether it’s restaurants, shops, or the marina. That said, the Pony Island has the best classic diner-style breakfast restaurant on their property as well. The staff was incredibly kind, which made the experience even more enjoyable. Highly recommend!
