Harborside Motel

A day trip turned into a night on the island and Harbor Inn came through for us. Great staff, old fashioned hospitality, rooms were crisp, clean, with all the ammenities. Frankly it's a great value for the money. Plus, you're in the heart of Ocracoke and everything is within a convenient walk. We will be there again.

When we arrived at Ocracoke and went to the hotel we thought we had reserved more than a month before, we discovered there was another hotel by the same name as the one on Ocracoke but in Atlantic Beach and we had put down a deposit on the wrong one. We couldn't get our deposit back and there seemed to be very few rooms in our price range. Our daughter and her fiance were with us and so we needed 2 rooms. The folks at Sand Dollar in Ocracoke and the folks at Harborside found us 2 rooms at Harborside for all but one of the nights and so the last night we all ended up in 1 rm. It was a very laid back place where you could hang towels out on a clothes line in front of your room and our downstairs neighbors had put up a tent in the parking spaces in front of their rooms where they cooked some

Very excellent stay. The front desk operator, and owner of the establishment was extremely friendly, and very down to earth. The rooms are in good condition and dated in a rustic and pleasing way. It is very close to the dock, and is centrally located. 10/10 would stay again!

The people in the office were very accommodating. The room did have a slight smell when we first walked in, but we got use to it. Shower water pressure was awesome! The ladies were great that cleaned our room and gave us clean towels, etc.! Don't forget to tip them!
