Captain's Landing Waterfront Inn

The most lovely hospitality! Miss Betty, could not have been kinder or more helpful. The room was clean and well stocked. The furnishings are old and maybe not quite as comfortable as you might wish but that won't keep us away. Great views, nice people.

We spend a week at Captains Landing every year and though we live riding around Ocracoke and see many other attractive places, we can't imagine ever wanting to stay anywhere else. The suites have fully equipped kitchens, and both the living area and the bedroom have sliding glass doors onto a balcony that is right on Silver Lake harbor - beautiful view. |Everything is in walking distance, with the local waterman's association's seafood store just down the street. This year we cooked and ate fresh-caught flounder, scallops, shrimp, and cobia, as well as enjoying meals in local restaurants. The Captains Landing staff have always been wonderful to us - we look forward to seeing them each time we return.

We have been coming to the outer banks since 2000. Staying on Hatteras and Ocracoke, sometimes twice a year. Captain's landing has been our go to for our anniversary for the past 6 years. The owners and staff are top notch! We wouldn't stay anywhere else on the island. Clean, welcoming, and homely feel is what we love ❤️. My husband Kal and I celebrated our 27th wedding anniversary March 8, 2023, with a week-long trip to Ocracoke. We were fortunate to have chosen Captain's Landing Waterfront Inn for our stay. Betty and her staff were very welcoming. From our hotel balcony, we enjoyed the scenic beauty of Silver Lake and the breathtaking sunset and moon rise each day, adding to the already remarkable landscape. From Ocracoke we also took a day trip to Hatteras Island. Our hotel suite at Captain's Landing was comfortable with all amenities. Restaurants, artisan stores, and recreational activities are a walking distance. The Atlantic Ocean is a few minutes drive. This was one of our most memorable trip.
