Petite Auberge

Petit Auberge is older but comfortable and clean. The fireplaces were a must, instant light and warm. Toilet paper could be another ply. The courtyard provided some wonderful quiet compared to the city sounds. Could hear our upstairs neighbors some. The breakfast was simple but ample as was the nibbles and wine at evening time. The always available tea and coffee was great - Equator coffee, and actually good too! Lower Nob Hill is a great neighborhood to stay in. Good bars, great food within walking distance, and near the top of the hill- walking down rather than up a lot of the time. Excellent value for the money.

This is a charming inn in an ideal location in SF to walk to so many places within 30 min. It is a mix of French/Boho/Grandma's house but in the most beautiful way. My room had a gas fireplace! The breakfast was next door at White Swan Inn (equally charming!). It felt so cozy and everything was delicious - scones, steelcut oats, yogurt, coffee, more. Was not able to take advantage of wine time but will be back. The staff at both locations were super kind and helpful. It made me so happy not to be in a cookie-cutter modern hotel. This place is unforgettable and will add to the memories of your trip. *If you detest older antique furnishings and only covet modern white surroundings, then it's not for you.

Positive: Lovely to have the evening fruit & cheese/crackers in the evening and the breakfast was excellent! Staff were all very accommodating and knowledgeable. We liked the stay so well we booked a future visit. Negative: Front sidewalk needs to be pressure washed.

What a creatively curated small hotel. Everyone who loves anything artsy must stay in this Hotel. Also, their breakfast/free wine space is so cute and laid-back. Ill stay here only every time I would visit SF.

This is a GEM of a charming hotel centrally located in San Francisco and within easy walking distance of many popular areas, such as Union Square and Nob Hill. The rooms are clean, comfortable, charming and well-appointed; the breakfast is plentiful and offered in a VERY delightful, cozy area of their sister property next door (White Swan). Their to go cups are large (YES!!!). They offer coffee, decaf, Numi teas and hot cocoa all day and complimentary wine, cheese, crackers, fruit from 5-6:30. Their check out is 12noon - and they can hold your bags. The staff are kind and helpful. I cannot say enough good things about this property and frankly it should be your first choice for lodging when coming to San Francisco as it adds a LOT of warmth, charm and homeyness to your visit to the City..
